Bluewater 26 fiberglass-reinforced composite panels

Coosa Bluewater panels use high-density closed-cell polyurethane foam reinforced with continuous strand fiberglass and woven roving. This family is the Bluewater 26 construction, with a listed density of 26 lb per cubic foot and a four-foot by eight-foot sheet size.

The material is described for composite building applications where plywood has traditionally been used. That description does not make every thickness a drop-in replacement for plywood; the finished assembly and its support requirements still need to match the design.

Select the specified panel thickness

Compare the individual thicknesses listed above while keeping the Bluewater 26 grade fixed. The options include thin and thicker sheets, so check the complete dimensions rather than relying on a photo of a panel edge.

Plan sheet quantities from the cutting layout and allow for trim and offcuts. The density value identifies the panel grade; it is not the shipping weight of a sheet or a measure of its thickness.

Bluewater 26 is not Nautical 20

Bluewater 26 and Nautical 20 have different reviewed constructions and densities and are kept in separate FPR families. Confirm the intended grade before considering a substitution. For Puerto Rico orders, share the Coosa series, sheet thickness and panel count, and check the fulfillment details for full-size panels before arranging transport.
