Materials for fiberglass fabrication and repair

A composite project brings together reinforcement, resin and, when the design calls for it, a core. This department organizes those materials alongside gelcoats, fillers and workshop supplies so you can compare the role of each before choosing a product.

The reinforcement range includes chopped strand mat, woven roving, fiberglass cloth and biaxial constructions, as well as carbon and aramid fabrics. Core materials include panel products and separately listed pourable materials. These categories are starting points for selection, not a statement that all products can be combined in one laminate.

Compare specifications before choosing a format

Open a product family to compare options that share the stated material specification. Check fabric weight, fiber orientation, width and roll or yard format; for panels, compare the named grade, thickness and dimensions. A similar appearance does not establish equivalent construction or performance.

Resin chemistry and reinforcement compatibility also matter. A resin component, curing agent or adhesive part may be sold separately rather than as a complete kit. Use the selected product information and current manufacturer documentation to confirm the complete system.

Plan your composite project with FPR

For help selecting materials in Puerto Rico, tell our San Juan team what you are making or repairing, the existing material, the part dimensions and the intended process. For structural work, bring the specified laminate schedule or engineering requirements rather than substituting materials by name alone.

Browse the category links for the relevant material, then open the family or individual item to check its options and current availability. The fiberglass guide provides a useful comparison of common reinforcement constructions.
