Polyaspartic & flake floors

Follow the solid-color or flake route, then seal and cure the surface.

Flakes and sealingLarge decorative flakes fall into a receptive coating. A simple section below shows the sealing layer following the textured surface.
  1. Step 1. Prepare and check the site

Test moisture, remove contamination, repair defects and create the required profile. Measure air, slab and material conditions, including dew point. Fast cure does not replace proper preparation.

Check the site conditionsAir, the slab and stored material are shown separately because their temperatures can differ. Check humidity and dew point as well.

Check dew-point margin and every product limit, not just air temperature.
  2. Step 2. Apply the approved primer

Use the system-approved primer and inspect its sealing and overcoat condition. Apply polyaspartic directly to concrete only when that exact product permits it. An epoxy primer under polyaspartic makes a hybrid system.

Follow the approved layer sequence. Thicknesses are schematic.
  3. Step 3. Measure and mix

Follow the product ratio and measurement basis; polyaspartics are not universally 1:1. Use only approved colorants and keep tools and decorative media dry. Size batches for the actual working time, including mixing, transport and finishing.

Follow the product ratio and measurement basis. No universal ratio is shown.
  4. Step 4. For a solid-color floor

Apply the approved pigmented layer at its specified coverage. Work in controlled bands, keep a live edge and finish promptly. Confirm opacity and any additional wear-coat requirement. Skip the flake step if this is your chosen finish.

Maintain a wet edge and check the specified build.
  5. Step 5. For a flake floor

Broadcast approved dry flakes into the receptive binder to the specified coverage. After sufficient cure, remove protrusions and vacuum loose media. A light sprinkle and a full broadcast are different designs, not interchangeable quantities.

Remove loose flakes after sufficient cure, then apply the specified seal coat.
  6. Step 6. Seal the surface

Apply the specified seal/wear coats within the recoat window. Textured broadcast floors may need more material than smooth surfaces. Leave no sharp flakes or loose media, and retain the texture required for the intended use.

Follow the approved layer sequence. Thicknesses are schematic.
  7. Step 7. Protect until ready for use

Track coat times and follow the actual service-cure schedule. Walking readiness does not establish vehicle or chemical readiness. Do not promise a one-day installation without checking the whole assembly and site conditions.

Use the actual product release requirements, not one shared countdown.
