About this product
Brand: Noah Fiberglass
Fabric composed of the combination of two layers of fiberglass fabrics sewn together. One layer is made up of strips that run the length of the roll and the second layer is made up of strips that run the width of the roll. Both layers do not interlock with each other, compared to the "Woven Roving". This characteristic allows the fiberglass strips to be fully stretched. This makes the fabric much stiffer and stronger. It also make
Mat-free 90-degree fiberglass reinforcement
This family is the 50-inch, 90-degree biaxial fiberglass construction without chopped strand mat. The reviewed material has a listed fabric weight of 17 oz per square yard. Its stitched fiber layers are different from the interwoven construction of woven roving.
The no-mat specification distinguishes it from the backed 90-degree combo reinforcement. Keep the construction and fiber direction explicit when matching a project requirement or asking about a replacement material.
Ordering the 50-inch cut-yard format
The current family option is sold by the linear yard at a width of 50 inches. The 17 oz per square yard fabric specification describes material weight per area; it is not the order quantity or the weight of a complete roll.
Measure the lengths needed for your cutting plan, allowing for the required orientation and trimming. Read the row above for the current minimum and quantity unit rather than assuming that an order quantity represents square yards or pounds.
Do not substitute a backed cloth by appearance
Similar-looking fiberglass photos can represent different fiber directions or backing layers. Verify that your specification calls for 90-degree biaxial cloth without mat before selecting this family. For Puerto Rico project inquiries, provide the width, required cut length and resin system so FPR can identify the relevant listing and supporting manufacturer information.
