Chopped strand mat, woven roving, cloth and stitched biaxial fabrics arrange their fibers differently. Biaxial products with mat and without mat are separate families, as are the listed fiber orientations. Carbon and aramid fabrics add other material choices; they are not direct substitutes for fiberglass based only on appearance.
Use the family specification to identify the construction required by your laminate design, then compare the available widths and formats.
Read weight, width and packaging together
