Chopped Strand Mat
Chopped strand fiberglass mat in roll, cut-yard and packaged formats. Choose the width and format that suit your project.

Before you choose
Use the individual option specifications when planning a laminate. Roll weights and billing increments are different measurements; the selected SKU determines the quantity charged. Styrene-soluble binder is intended for polyester and vinyl ester systems. The Evercoat option is a different mat weight. Confirm its binder and resin compatibility from the manufacturer; it is not an equivalent replacement for the Noah roll grade.
Random-strand fiberglass mat and its binder
Chopped strand mat consists of short glass strands held together with a binder rather than an ordered woven pattern. The Noah mat uses a styrene-soluble binder intended for polyester and vinyl ester resin systems. The reviewed roll grade is 1.5 oz per square foot.
Binder compatibility matters when selecting the resin. Do not assume this mat will handle the same way with epoxy: the source guidance notes that the binder does not dissolve completely in that system.
The Evercoat packaged option is 8 square feet of non-woven fiberglass with a source-listed 0.75 oz grade. It is not the same weight as the Noah roll grade. Confirm binder and resin compatibility using the selected option instructions.
Choose width and supply format separately
The family includes packaged pieces, several roll widths, whole rolls and a 50-inch cut-yard option. Compare both dimensions on packaged pieces and the width on roll or yard material. Review the exact option before using the family specification in a laminate plan.
Fabric areal weight, the total weight of a roll and the billing increment are different measurements. A 60 lb or 99 lb whole-roll label does not describe the same quantity as a cut yard or an increment of material sold by weight.
Plan material around the resin and the part
Start with the resin system and reinforcement specified for the job, then choose a width and package that fit the cut layout. For FPR orders in Puerto Rico, include the required dimensions and whether you want packaged, cut-yard or roll material. Refer to the selected product and resin instructions for handling and laminate requirements.
