About this product

Brand: Noah Fiberglass

Fabric composed of fiberglass strips that run the length and width of each roll and are intertwined with each other. This organization gives strength in both directions. The applicator should orient the fabric yarn to run parallel to part loads and place subsequent alternate layers at 45 degrees to maximize strength.

Interwoven fiberglass reinforcement

Woven roving is made from fiberglass yarns running lengthwise and crosswise and interwoven with one another. This family has a nominal roll fabric weight of 24 oz per square yard. Its construction is distinct from stitched biaxial fiberglass and from random chopped strand mat.

The yarn directions are part of the reinforcement specification. Match the material to the approved laminate design rather than assuming that every fiberglass fabric with a similar weight performs the same way.

Compare 38-inch and 50-inch supply options

The family includes roll material and cut yards at 38 and 50 inches wide, whole-roll options and a packaged 36 by 50 inch piece. Choose a width and supply format that fit the cutting plan, then check the selected row for its own unit and minimum.

The 24 oz per square yard grade is not the same measurement as an 80 lb whole-roll label or a billed increment of material sold by weight. Review individual option specifications when comparing packaged pieces with roll stock.

Plan cuts around the required yarn direction

Use the project laminate schedule to establish yarn orientation and material quantities. Do not infer a required layer count or strength rating from the family name. For FPR orders in Puerto Rico, include the woven-roving grade, width and whether you need packaged, cut-yard or whole-roll material so the correct option can be identified.
